Peabody Park Preservation Committee Wins Award

The Peabody Park Preservation Committee has been award the School Award by Greensboro Beautiful.  This is award is given each year to an individual school (public or private) that has demonstrated consistent excellence in environmental education and campus beautification.   The ongoing work by the committee to remove invasive plant species, trash, and debris from the campus park shows a commitment by the University’s faculty, staff, and students to continue protecting campus grounds.  The chair of the committee is Dr.Elizabeth Lacey, who is a professor in the Biology Department.  She accepted the award on behalf of the committee.
